I am Associate Professor of Political Science and Chair of
the Department of Government. I teach courses in American politics and Research Methods
& Quantitative Analysis. I am the editor of Government and
Politics in Virginia: The Old Dominion at the 21st Century
and American Government:Readings from Across Society.
I have also authored and co-authored research that has appeared
in the American Journal of Political Science, Legislative
Studies Quarterly, Social Science Quarterly, American Politics Research,
Political
Analysis, and PS:Political Science and Politics, among
