Welcome to my homepage!
Hi, I am an Assistant Professor of
Cognitive Psychology in the Psychology
Department at Christopher Newport
University in Newport News, VA. In the summer of 1998, I earned my Ph.D
at Kansas State University located in
Manhattan, KS.

PROFESSIONAL INTERESTS
I study memory and I teach General
Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Behavioral Statistics, Memory Applications,
Research Seminar, Experimental Methods, and Learning. I am very lucky because I
love both teaching and research and I actually get paid to do both. I have
attached my vita (e.g., my resume) and my teaching portfolio so you can get a better idea about my
research and teaching.

SLACK-TIME
INTERESTS
I am a rabid
fan. Tim Allen of Home Improvement and
I are alike in that respect. I think people who have experienced the pain that
Lions' fans have endured maintain passionate, life-long commitments to their
teams. I used to think that Barry Sanders was the ultimate form of an athlete
because he was the best running back ever and he was incredible humble; he let
his talents speak for him. However, I can't believe that Barry left the team
they way that he did. Nevertheless, Barry has to take care of him and we Lion
fans need to get over it. The Lions can show him that he made a horrible
mistake by winning it all.
I love my Wildcats and I especially
love Wildcat
Football. That is, I have been going to the games since 1991 and I have
been to the Holiday Bowl (1995), the Cotton Bowl (1997), the Fiesta Bowl
(1997), and the (oouch it hurt) Alamo Bowl (1998). Below you will find a
picture of my friend Larry Bunce and I at the Cotton Bowl. The person who took
the picture must have thought that it captured the moment because it made the
front page of the Kansas City Star.

The grizzly looking fellow on the
left is my buddy Larry and the person on the right who looks like he is going
to run home and cry to mama is me.
I attended some Redman football
games at Carthage in the Fall of 1998 and I enjoyed them. I thought the
greatest part was the fact that the President of the college attends the games
and screams his head off the entire time. More college presidents should follow
suit.
I am interested in playing most
sports. Lately, I play golf, flag football, basketball, street hockey,
racquetball, and I lift weights. I also love to eat and watch movies and
cartoons. Here are the links to some shows I thoroughly enjoy::
