My name is Eric
Silverman. I am a professor in Christopher
Newport University’s Department of Philosophy and Religious
Studies.
I received my Ph.D. from St.
Louis University in 2008, where I wrote my dissertation with Eleonore Stump and Daniel Haybron.
My first book is forthcoming from Rowman and Littlefield on The
Prudence of Love: How Possessing the Virtue of Love Benefits the Lover.
My areas of specialization are Normative Ethics and Medieval
