Christopher Cook received the Doctor of Music
degree from Indiana University where he served as assistant director of
the Center for Electronic and Computer Music. He has received
awards and honors from the Fromm Music Foundation at Harvard
University, the National Endowment for the Arts, ASCAP, MTNA, and the
National Assembly of Local Arts Agencies. He has served as
Composer-in-Residence at Amherst College, the University of Evansville,
Monroe County Community Schools Corporation (Indiana) and for the city
of Somerset, Pennsylvania. He is Director of Music Theory and
Composition at Christopher Newport University. |

computer) was performed by William Bootz and Mary Hellmann at the
Society of Composers, Inc. Conference -University of North
Carolina, Greensboro (February 5) and will be performed at the
College Music Society Conference -Appalachian State University, Boone,
NC (3/5).
• Clockworks
(computer
music) was
presented at March 1 & 2, 2010 at the University Theatre (Old
Dominion University) as part of the Diehn Concert Series in conjunction
with the Norfolk Chamber Consort. Choreography was provided
by Tamika Steeley.

(orchestra) was performed by the Christopher Newport University
Orchestra (February 23).
• House Music
(band, tape) was performed by the Virginia Region 2 All-District
High School Band, Dr. Mark Reimer, director (February 6).
