"A quiet revolution in teaching is spreading across the country. It is
bringing with it more lively, active, and stimulating classrooms, but this
is not the only result. Interactive teaching also brings dramatically
better student learning. Across a wide range of disciplines from physics,
chemistry, biology, mathematics, political science, law, sociology, and
psychology, to reading comprehension and third grade social studies - from
Harvard to low-income elementary school - the applications are far
reaching. This presentation discusses the theory, techniques, and
technologies behind the results, and attempts to place the innovations in
historical context beginning with Socrates."
